I AM A GENIUS!

I am seriously proud of my quick thinking this weekend!

Okay, here is what happened.

We had just come in from playing outside. Jagger asked for a "Milkshake." I got one out and gave it to B. (Jagger was getting a straw from the drawer and she was right at my side begging for the milkshake.) Only then did I realize...I just gave the last one we had to B.

What to do? Quick, get another straw, slam it in and tell them both to share. As you can see, it worked!

I AM A GENIUS!

FROZEN LAUNDRY!!!

About a year ago, we got a new dryer. Luckily a few minutes before the trash men came, I was able to get one last load done.

Yes, I put the dryer out for the trash with clothes still in it......you idiot!

I AM RETARDED!

Remembering our Family

Everyone knows that as a family we are very good at inviting and accepting everyone to be a part of our family.

This could not be any more truer than in the case of good old "Aunt Tilley" and "Uncle Frannie."

It's been a while since we've seen Tilley and Fran!
Does anyone know where they've been!?

I hope they can make it to this years Relay for Life. It is just not the same with out the energy and excitement they bring. (as seen in this photo)

It kills me every time I see this picture that we haven't stayed in touch!

If they fail to show up at the Relay this year, I say we get a complete stranger to "sit in" for the group family photo.
What do you think?

My Son "B"

Some people say, "Chris, are you going to try for a third child?" My response to them is..."You know, it really would be nice to have a little girl...I just don't know if I want to risk it!"

This shirt was originally Jagger's, given to him from Kristen and Mark. However, after B soaked through her outfit yesterday (because I gave her a ton to drink and didn't change her diaper fast enough)...it was passed on to B.

Lindsay is never quite happy with the clothes I pick out for B, which is why she now picks out her outfits before she leaves in the morning. I however, always have a perfect excuse/reason for choosing the outfits that I choose...."IT WAS ON TOP!" When I open the dresser drawer, if it is on top, I pick it. I just opened the wrong drawer, that's all!

I never get mad when I hear someone say..."He really is a cute baby." I just smile and reply, " Thanks, I think so too."

These pictures (especially the last one) made me think of this song!

Also......
We can't forget (because my Mom refuses to let us!)

Happy Belated Birthday to George Harrison!
(February 25th) R.I.P.

Sunset doesn't last all evening
A mind can blow those clouds away
After all this my love is up and must be leaving
But it's not always going to be this way

All things must pass
All things must pass away
Our house sounds like one long fart!
and with Jagger potty training....it smells like pee!

For the last two months, Jagger has been really into playing with his cars. While he is playing with his cars, he wants to sound like the cars. It was cute at first...but now it is loud and annoying. To make things worse, B has started! Check it out...

Everybody wants to be a star!!!

SLEDDING WITH THE KIDS!

Here is a video of the four of us sledding on Sunday afternoon!

And here are some pictures of B enjoying her new bed. Not everyone may know this, but at 16 months, B started climbing out of her crib. She started out on a mattress on the floor (as shown in these pictures) but is now in her nice new double bed which her crib converted into.
She is definitely growing up!

Remembering a Warmer Time of Year!

This is our new pad!
I will be rocking on the porch this summer!

With the snow falling today in Pennsylvania, I thought it would be a good day to remember that August will be here before you know it. LBI is right around the corner, just a mere 6 months, a half a year, 180 days away, WOW...that is actually a long time.

Oh well, like Christmas in July, this is LBI in February!

Here are a few photos from the beach that should help as well.

Okay, I'm going up to the beach, who is coming with me?

What a ham. He now has his own scooter and is really good!

Granny-gran and B on the boardwalk patiently waiting to go get ice cream.

What a good looking crew!

Here is a clip of Pop-pop and Jagger on the Merry-go-round!

Happy (Belated) Birthday!!!

I just got inspired (yes, just a little late) to sit down and write a letter to Jagger for his 3rd birthday.

Note to self: you can rotate pictures, but not video. Oh well. Now we know.

It's so incredibly hard to believe you are already 3 but it is harder to believe that you haven't been a part of our lives forever. You are really such a beautiful, wonderful child with a personality that warms everyone's heart. Your smile in contagious and boy do you wear it everywhere you go. Soft and gentle- no, not hardly, but funny and thoughtful- certainly. A perfect example of how thoughtful you are- we sit down for dinner as a family almost every night (and while tonight isn't the perfect example because we actually told you to get up if you were going to whine all the way through dinner) and we always catch up on the day's events. Since a couple of weeks ago, you've made it a habit to ask "how was your day at work, mom?" It was that sincere and that cute when you first said it and it makes me smile each and every time you ask me. Sometimes you're just plain funny too - and there's not a bit of sweetness- like at Grandma's birthday dinner- we were sitting around as a family and you turned to me (in the middle of an oddly silent moment) and asked, "Mommy, are your boobies growing up?" (if you could only remember the days of your infancy, you would clearly know it's quite the opposite).

While these moments are funny and make us laugh, it's the moments I can steal in the early morning and late at night when I fight the growing up. When I come in to get you in the morning, you let me hold you like a baby. You lay in my arms and suck on your blankie and look into my eyes as I rock all 35 lbs of you. And the moments late at night when I delay going downstairs to clean up after you and I snuggle in with you. These are the moments that I just love. The other day you told me that you love snuggling with me- you actually said it was your "favorite." (I'm sure I said that at some point because clearly his blankie is his favorite) I love this also because it's just you and me. You have favored your daddy for quite a while but you know this is our thing. It's like you know your daddy isn't a big snuggler (although B is clearly winning him over in this department) and that he certainly won't hold you like a baby, so you let me. The two of you can make truck ramps later.

And a dose of reality too- you're not an angel. You're a bear to your sister (it's a wonder she loves to get you out of bed every morning- if I were here I would run in the opposite direction) and your car sounds are getting on our last NERVE. But you overcompensate with cuteness and we love you for it.

Thanks for being such a happy kid - you deserved a very happy birthday.

And remember, your sister is the boss and sometimes she is gonna want to sit in your chair. Get used to it!

Valentine's Day Rewind

Okay, here is the plan.
It is Valentine's Day.
Mommy often says we don't do enough crafts at home during the day.

So what are we going to do?

Make our Mommy macaroni necklaces!

These two cute kids, they are going to be the best necklace builders ever!

I went to the store and got two types of pasta.
Cut a bunch of pieces of ribbon.
Filled two soup bowls full of the pastas.
Gathered the kids at the coffee table and......

within 5 minutes, macaroni was everywhere, the kids were sitting and standing on the coffee table, the handle on the one soup bowl was broken, Jagger was hitting the macaroni with his cars, dogs were chewing the macaroni.....

It was a disaster!

Needless to say, the only arts and crafts we are doing moving forward are perfecting the art of taking a nap and watching other people do crafts on TV!!! The clean up is so much easier.

Here is footage of said DISASTER!!!!

Monster Trucks!!!

This weekend Jagger and I went the Spectrum to see the Monster Trucks. In addition to Monster Trucks, there was also 4-Wheeler races and Motocross Jumping. We had a great time and stayed way longer than I thought we would.

When we first got there, the first thing I did was buy ear muffs for Jagger. It was so frickin loud. Without the earmuffs we would have had to leave right away. Don't worry I had my swimming earplugs in and they worked great.

Jagger had a great time. We had french fries and lemonade but more importantly, Jagger PEED in the Spectrum! He had pull-ups on for this special occasion but after he chugged almost 2 lemonades I asked he if he needed to go and he said YES! They are going to tear down the Spectrum soon and Jagger can always say "Yeah, The Spectrum, I was there...saw Monster Trucks and peed all over the toilet seat!"

Here is a video clip and two pictures from the event. You can hardly hear it but at the end of the video, Nick stands up gives me a hug and tells me he loves me, then I say it and he says it again.
He definitely said it first though, which was cool, definitely worth the price of admission.

Sorry I couldn't make it shorter.

The bird's got the word!

It's your dream come true! The Lebrescos are blogging! Everyone could use a little more Lebresco in their life...

Maybe you're wondering why we chose this name for our family blog. (play along if you could care less) We picked it from one of our favorite stories (and one of Chris' from childhood) - Big Dog ... Little Dog - A Bedtime Story by P.D. Eastman.

"I know what to do!" said the bird. "Just switch rooms. Ted should sleep upstairs and Fred should sleep downstairs!"

"Of course!" "The bird's got the word."

The last line of the book says it best - "Why make big problems out of little problems?" We couldn't agree more. (OK- Chris is this laid back and I'm working on it)

Please bookmark this page and comeback frequently to check up on how the Lebresco Family is doing. We hope to keep daily posts with pictures, funny stories, and general family updates. (and I will occasionally post some new songs!) Oh- and tell us what you think. Make comments (not via e-mail) right here on the blog (there's a spot at the end of every post).

Tomorrow, our first official post, will be a little about the good time Jagger and I had at the Monster Truck Jam on Sunday! Stay Tuned!!!
